Airframe Log Entry
XXXXX XX, 2007. Tach Time XXXX.XX.
Total Time Airframe XXXX.XX. Static ports all OK. Installed
two new rivets to replace failed rivets on pilot door hinge and
installed 2 new hinge pins on co-pilot door and 1 new hinge pin
on pilot door upper hinge. Installed new door-open catches in
both doors. Re-positioned door-open stops on bottom of wing to
achieve proper alignment with door catches. Windows in good
condition. Serviced battery with distilled water and charged
battery. Battery box and adjacent area in good condition.
Installed clamp on battery box drain line to secure the line to
the firewall. External skins in good condition. Horizontal
stabilizer and attach bolts, trim tab and elevator in good
condition. Fin, attach bolts and rudder in good condition.
Lubed trim system extensively to achieve smooth and free
operation of trim system. Installed new bolt in elevator
belcrank at center of vertical stabilizer to eliminate play.
Replaced both up and down elevator cables from elevator belcrank
forward to turnbuckle just aft of baggage compartment because of
failing cables. Set elevator cable tensions to 30# and saftied
turnbuckles. Tail group hinges in good condition. Placarded
fuel tanks at filler necks for quantity. Fuel caps and seals in
good condition. Drained fuel sumps, found small amount of
water. Drained until clean fuel only. Fuel lines OK. Found
under-wing fuel vent blocked with bug residue. Cleaned vent.
Re-positioned vent to proper positioning under wing behind lift
strut and re-secured. Vent valve operational. Wing surfaces,
internal and attach bolts all in good condition. Aileron hinges
and control rods in good condition. Installed 4 washers on rear
belcrank cable attach in left wing to center fork in belcrank.
Set aileron cable tension to 40#. Flap tracks and rollers in
good condition. Shortened flap push-rods both wings to achieve
positive flap retraction in flap wells. Lubed flap system.
Re-positioned fuel line clamp at rear door post on co-pilot side
to achieve positive clearance between clamp and flap cable.
Re-placarded fuel valve with quantity and position placards.
Installed new AN4 bolts at seat belt attach points. Inspected
seat tracks, rollers and locks in accordance with AD 87-20-03
R2. Found in good condition. Must be inspected each annual.
Inspected under instrument panel. Plumbing, wiring and control
travel OK. Fuel gauges operational. Instrument panel mounts
OK. Installed new defroster hose from heat duck to defroster.
Lights, switches, fuses and breakers all OK. Trim wheel and
indicator and flap lever OK. Rudder pedals and return springs
OK. Lubed all pulleys in belly and fuselage and wings. Cleaned
under floor. Inspected wheel bearings and brake pads. Found
OK. Re-positioned brake line clamps on gear legs and installed
missing clamps on brake line at lower gear leg position.
Fabricated and installed new ผ aluminum line from fuselage
fitting to brake line on left side to allow for proper
positioning of brake line clamp on left gear leg. Inflated all
tires to proper pressures. Lubed all nose gear zerk fittings.
Tightened center scissors link bolt to eliminate play. Serviced
shimmy damper with hydraulic fluid and reinstalled damper with
shims to eliminate looseness. Inflated nose strut with
nitrogen. Checked operation of all lights. All operational.
Pointer ELT operational. Battery to be replaced November 2007.
Researched all AD notes and compiled new lists to include with
logs. I certify that this aircraft has been inspected in
accordance with an annual inspection, found to be in an
airworthy condition, and is approved for return to service.

Engine Log Entry
XXXXX XX, 2007. Tach Time XXXX.XX.
Time Since Major Overhaul XXX.XX. Time Since Top Overhaul
XXX.XX. Performed differential compression test: #1 66/80,
#2 78/80, #3 78/80, #4 74/80, #5 67/80, #6 74/80.
Checked rocker covers, push rod housings, engine baffles and
Scat tubing, found all OK. Metal lines, hoses and fittings all
OK. Did not change oil at this time. Checked magneto timing
and re-set left to 28ฐ BTDC and right to 26ฐ BTDC. Tested
ignition switch off position in accordance with AD 76-07-12
R1. Found to function properly. Must be tested each 100 hours
of operation. External magnetos in good condition. Inspected
ignition harnesses and installed all new ignition wire clamps to
eliminate chafing. Inspected and checked gap of all spark
plugs. Oil sump, accessory section, crankcase and breather all
OK. Front seal and engine mounts in good condition. Fabricated
and installed ground straps at each engine-mount-to-engine bolts
(four ground straps installed.) Inspected engine controls for
security, routing, freedom and wear. Re-clamped throttle
control at engine mount to achieve full-closed throttle
position. Mixture and carb heat controls OK. Intake system and
carburetor appear in good condition. Checked carburetor finger
screen, found clean. Inspected gascolator, found clean. Air
box in good condition. Installed new BA6108 air filter
element. Inspected exhaust system and mufflers, found OK.
Generator and regulator mounts and leads all OK. Starter mounts
and leads and electrical wiring in engine compartment all OK.
Serviced battery with distilled water and charged battery.
Battery box and adjacent area in good condition. Installed
clamp on battery box drain line to secure the line to the
firewall. Firewall in good condition. Removed spinner.
Inspected bolts and safeties. Re-profiled leading edges of
propeller blades. Reinstalled spinner. Researched all AD notes
and compiled new lists to include with logs. I certify that
this engine has been inspected in accordance with an annual
inspection, found to be in an airworthy condition, and is
approved for return to service.
